Dennita Sewell

Dennita Sewell was the founding program director for the BA Fashion program at ASU and is now the director of the ASU FIDM fashion school.

For nearly two decades prior, Sewell served as Phoenix Art Museum’s curator of fashion, where she organized more than 50 exhibitions on subjects ranging from motorcycle jackets to haute couture designers. She earned an MFA in costume design from Yale University and worked in collections at the Metropolitan Museum of Art before moving to Phoenix.
