Two days of creative conversation and exploration

Four years ago the Herberger Institute held its first ever Herberger Institute Day, bringing together students, faculty and staff to share and to experience creativity across disciplines and all design and arts fields. COVID-19 postponed the 2020 event, which is typically held in the fall, but the tradition continued in Spring 2021 with a special two-day version. For two days in March, the Herberger Institute community explored creativity together through virtual and in-person workshops and performances.

Now a part of the Herberger Institute’s Culture and Access department, Herberger Institute Day also helps build community within the Institute. The Culture and Access department works to build a culture of empathy and equity across all units in the Institute, and an important part of building that culture is bringing together the community. Herberger Institute Day is one way to do that.
